First time paddle on big and deep Lake Tahoe

PENTAX Image

Whether they were on the water early enough – or just lucked out – the Adventurers, joined by D’s daughters (Nikki pictured top), put Kermy and Big Blue on Lake Tahoe for the first time today. They put in at Sand Cove Beach around 9:00 am, ahead of most of the motorized traffic.

While winds and waves had been an issue on Donner Lake, there was barely of ripple on Tahoe, allowing for smooth two hour paddle. And, just for the record, we should mention the Lake was relatively warm. At least by Tahoe temps…

Paddle/easy – no wind, smooth water/4 miles
