First of the morning walk around Santa Catalina – and fabulous food at Chano’s Point

Surf shop_Santa Catalina_Oct 8The Adventurers learned if they were going to see the big surf – and surfers – they’d need to get up and out early, so they took a good long pre-breakfast loop hike this morning, which was a perfect compliment to their jaunt out to the point yesterday.

They extended the walk by coming back through the small town of Santa Catalina, where there are cafes (many closed in October) and a variety of surf and scuba shops.

For really great meals, they don’t need to go far from where they’re staying. Chano’s Point  is very small, open air restaurant owned by a Venezuelan, who was being helped out by one of his fellow countrymen. As all the reviews read, fabulous fresh fish…
