Change of pace with a look at what’s under the sea at the Monterrey Aquarium

After a couple of good outdoor outings, the Adventurers chose to go indoors – and under the sea – today with a visit to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium. L had never been before and D had been once years ago.

boat in Monterrey BayIt lived up to its much ballyhooed reputation with amazing exhibits and great interactive areas aimed at kids. But the kid can come out of you no matter the age when a big squid is squirming around in front of you.

After lunch at the aquarium’s restaurant, featuring the food of chef Cindy Pawlcyn, they headed out for a walk north to check out the local kayak center. Along the way, they were treated to the sound of harbor seals. And the sights of lots of boats, both new and old…
