Heading north to the frozen tundra that is Canada in the summer

The Adventurers headed north today. Their initial destination was Calgary, the jump off place for a not quite two week sojourn in the Canadian Rockies.

They had looked at the weather report so they were not surprised to be greeted by a snow storm, even though it did seem strange for late summer. The locals they talked to agreed it was unusual, saying that October was when the more typical month for the first snowfall.

The good news is that the drive from Calgary to Canmore (their first destination) was “dressed up” by the snow. The flat high plans never looked better. Not to mention the mountains that surround Canmore…
