Grabbing some World Series fever with a trip to the Giants yard

D in front of Willie May statueD started talking at the beginning of the week that he wanted to ride his new bike up the AT&T Park on Friday, the first day the Giants would be playing in front of their home crowd. To L, it seemed a bit dangerous with all the Lookey Lous and out of towners. But as L had learned, when D gets an idea into his head, his mind is made up.

So giving D about an hour head start, L took the train up and had great walk from the CalTrain station to the Ferry Building and back, stopping at the Willie Mays statue to meet up with D, who arrived right on schedule at 11:30.

They shared an Amici’s pizza before taking the train back to Menlo. It was a nice day, just as D had predicted…

Bike/moderate/35 miles
