The Adventurers got on the road early today, stopping just a few miles up the road at the Woodhouse Market in the Avila Village shop area for breakfast. That put then right along side the Bob Jones Trail which follows the Pacific Coast Railroad right-of-way along San Luis Obispo Creek to Avila Beach.
Finding themselves about mid-point on the trail, they walked in the direction of the town of Avila Beach, which they’d wanted to check out anyway. The trail is marked along the way with various facts, both geological and botanical. D stopped to read about the uplifted Monterey shale which once lined the ocean bottom.
Good way to end a good five days…
