Full day on the road includes goodbye, swimming and scouting out new grounds

D and Here's Johnny

The Adventurers bid adieu to Blancaneaux Lodge this morning, with special thanks first to their server Johnny (pictured), who is Mayan, and later to Geraldo who had been their tour guide extradonaire.

D by pool at Turtle InnIt was Geraldo who was their driver on the way to their second destination, Turtle Inn near Plancencia, in the south eastern part of the country. On they way, they stopped for a dip in the sink hole swimming area in Blue Hole National Park. The fun was that the sun shone a spotlight right in the middle of the pool. Very cool.

It was another hour and a half to Turtle Inn. Needing a leg stretch, they walked around the grounds and out on a pier at the adjoining property. They also went for a dip in the Caribbean, which was, of course, much warmer than their mountain ponds

L likes the way the clouds are caught in the photo of D by one of the resort’s two pools…
