Revisting L’s long ago horse stomping grounds

D and L with heartBack in the 70s, L had a horse named Dandy that she stabled in South Pasadena at the Arroyo Seco Stables. As the name would infer, it had great access to miles of trails in the Arroyo Seco, past the Rose Bowl, and up into the mountains.

For a period of about five years, she rode numerous times a week, often long rides on weekends. Later, she’d occasionally run those trails, but that’s been years and years ago.

So the Adventurers set off on a early morning walk along the same paths. Most of the terrain remained the same, although close to the Colorado Street bridge, there’s new green scape with water running through it, a creek more natural looking than the concrete flood channel.

Along the way, the came upon a series of Valentine heart’s that some one had hung from trees. A nice start to the day…
