Searching for kayaks adds up to a lot of miles in Londontown

Shadowing in Regents Park

Under sunny skies, the Adventurers headed off across Hyde Park and then Regent’s Park in the hopes that they’d find a kayak outfitters.

They’d hoped kayak on the Thames but arrived to find those tours only offered on Saturday. Another outfitters looked promising but when they got to the appointed spot along Regent’s Canal, alas no kayaks were to be found. But just downstream, they did find a place who said they could probably accommodate them this afternoon, but alas they never heard from him.

This is not to say they didn’t have a glorious time walking in London, crossing at least six different neighborhoods, the two parks and along Regent’s Canal, which L considers to be one of London’s hidden gems. They lunched at a  pub called the Engineer, which had the authentic feel with a real cook in the kitchen as some pubs do know.

Dinner is at a steakhouse featuring English beef. Life is tough…
