Hiking Arastradero Preserve on a very windy spring day

Windy calling by L

The winds of spring arrived on the Peninsula a few days ago. L admits she remembers cool days through June but not necessarily windy days. But windy it has been.

Windy calling by DThat didn’t detour the Adventurers decision to hike Arastradero Preserve this morning. They were greeted with clear skies and waving wheat. Well, not really wheat but the tall grasses – some still green and some golden – did wave in the wind much like wheat.

Maggie the dog likes this hike in particular as there are a lot of wild things to smell. She storms up and down the hills in search of just the right scent.

A highlight of today’s hike was seeing Windy Hill in two views. L took the photo of Windy in the distant background behind D and the Mag. D took the scenic Windy devoid of people…

Hike/easy to moderate/just shy of 5 miles
