The Adventurers were out of the country when the baseball season started. They kept up with what the Giants were doing, of course. And the news was largely lousy.
But in the last two weeks, their team seemed to turn it around. They’d looked at the schedule and decided there was nothing better than day baseball, particularly when the opponent is the dreaded Dodgers. Tickets were bought.
So, they headed up to The Yard for the first time this year, taking Caltrain as always. And, as always, the 10:30 train was standing room only. They got lucky and found two seats in the upper deck by the time they got to Redwood City.
Arriving at the ball park, they enjoyed a leisurely lunch before going to their awesome seats right behind home plate on the Club level.
And it was all good news from start to finish, including a home run from pitcher Madison Bamgarner against Clayton Kershaw, who just might be the best pitcher in baseball.
Some days everything just works…
