Hot Cormorant kind of day in the San Francisco Bay Area

Coromonts in a row

If we haven’t mentioned it before, the one thing the Adventurers miss about the Central Valley is the great places to paddle around the Delta, including some really beautiful rivers. That’s not an option here in the Bay Area.

But they haven’t gotten good at seizing a hot day and going out on the water as they did today, wandering around the manmade lagoons of Foster City. Mostly what they see is the backyards of houses that line the lagoons. But today they also saws posse of Cormorants, which just happens to be one o their favorite birds, who just happen to enjoy fanning themselves.

The paddling wasn’t particularly hard as the water was calm. But it was a good first outig of the summer…

Love the cormorants! We have them here too on our small lakes on the golf course, as well as white herons. So glad you can keep up the kayaking– sounds like the Delta is pulling at you!
