Visit to Chinatown with John and the grandkids

Dinner at R&G Lounge

A bit spur of the moment, the Adventurers headed to San Francisco this afternoon to meet John and the grandkids at Chinatown. They’d been in the City most of the day, having spent time at the Exploratorium.

Neither Adventurer could remember the last time they were in Chinatown. For L, it was probably during the Transamerica years. One thing they agreed, except for the plethora of t-shirts and electronics shops, Chinatown in many respects has not changed since they were kids.

One thing for sure was evident from the reaction of Grace and James:  the somewhat tacky tourist strip can still be magical from a kids point of view. What treasures all of those stores hold!

They had dinner at one of L’s favorite restaurants from the Transamerica years, R & G Lounge. And it was as tasty as ever!
