The Adventurers went back up to the City today to pick up L’s ring and took the occasion to lunch at landmark San Francisco restaurant, Tadich Grill. L’s pretty sure she lunched there as a little girl as her father’s office was close by and she went a couple of times during her years working for Transamerica. D had never been there, although he’d heard about it and always wanted to eat there.
Tadich Grill is not only San Francisco’s, but also California’s, oldest restaurant. It’s a seafood restaurant best known for its cioppino, which is what L ordered. It was delicious behind belief. And D pronounced his Chilean Sea Bass they best he’d ever tasted.
After lunch, they took the long way back to the train station, walking alone the Embarcadero. A lovely way to spend a day in the City…
