Introducing The Mag to the snow with a Donner State Park outing

Looking across Donner Lake

L and the Mag at Donner LakeThe Adventurers headed out this morning, destination Truckee where they’ve rented a lovely little cabin along the river.

Before settling in, they stopped at Donner State Park to  snowshoeg along the same trails that they hiked in the summer of 2013. There was a lot of snow but most of the path was packed, making for easy going. The scenes across Donner Lake were pretty, given the clear conditions and water reflections.

The Mag was enthusiastic, almost too much so, as she got herself covered in snowballs by going off road, and got a bit chilled. D warmed her up by carrying her for a stretch. And being the true spirited Mag that she is, she zoomed back along trail the last half mile or so…

You made it! Look forward to your Truckee pictures. Love that area. Seeing Mags makes me miss traveling with our dog William– he loved road trips.
