An Arizona Highways kind of day driving from Phoenix to Sedona

L and Tom on porchBidding goodbye to Terri and Tom (and their front porch filled with all the wrong signs – just for my benefit, reported Tom), the Adventurers headed out the long way to Sedona from Phoenix that made L think of the magazine Arizona Highways that her parents took when she was a girl.

The drive featured gorgeous scenery of blooming big Saguaro cactus that was in bloom along with Juniper and Conifer forests. There was a new beautiful view around every bend. Unfortunately none of the drive by photos did justice to the fabulous display of nature.

They stopped in Prescott for lunch and had hoped to make another stop in the semi ghost town of Jerome but it was mobbed with Sunday day trippers. They had to make do with looking at if from down below, where L snapped a photo of D…
