Glimpsing more of Utah and (now) Nevada’s smaller parks

D at Snow Canyon

L at Red RockToday was the long drive from Springdale, Utah to Las Vegas (well not Las Vegas proper, but that’s another post). Long is defined as three hours or more.

It ended up being more as the Adventurers took another somewhat out of the way route. L had found a Utah state park called Snow Canyon that seemed like a good place to hike before they descended into civilization.

Like Kodachrome earlier in the week, it delivered. Lots of very interesting rocks. And yes, they were red.

They continued along the journey and stopped for a short break at roadside park called Red Stone Dune Trail (second photo) in Nevada. It didn’t provide a real hike but gave them a leg stretcher.

And that in itself was good…
