Heading north for family wedding and getting a little fun in on the way

D at Pick's Drive In_Cloverdale

The Adventurers headed out this morning with kayaks on the car top to meet son John and grandkids in Redwood Valley in advance a cousins wedding in Potter Valley on Saturday. (Alas, The Mag was not invited and had to stay home with Aunt Kathleen.)

L on Lake SonomaD had scooped out a sliver of Lake Sonoma that would not have many power boats called Yorty Creek. To get there, they drove five miles of very twisty roads from the south end of Cloverdale.

Both agreed that it was much prettier than they’d anticipated with the shore line field with beautiful old oaks. Higher on the hillsides were numerous vineyards along with Redwood forests.

They paddled for a couple of hours and then drove along the main drag of Cloverdale to find a spot to eat. Pick’s Drive In seemed to fit tbe bill perfectly…
