A different kind of Sunday says goodbye to August

Ed Bacon and LThe Adventurers almost always walk to Borrone for breakfast on Sunday morning and then shop at Menlo Park farmers market before heading back home. It’s a ritual The Mag approves of.

But this Sunday was different. The Rev Ed Bacon was the guest preacher at Trinity, and they weren’t going to miss him.

D had heard him preach at All Saints Pasadena on the topic “God is not a Christian” and said it was a great sermon. Now retired, today he talked about his transition back to the south post retirement and the kind of etiquette Jesus would mandate in an election year. Easy – chose love, not fear.

They got to visit with him a bit before and after the service. And rounded off the morning with a delicious brunch at LB Steak…
