Remembering a different kind of labor with a hike at Bedwell Bayfront

D and The Mag at Bedwell_Labor Day

The Adventurers stayed local today and hiked at Bedwell Bayfront Park, which is at the foot of Menlo Park along the San Francisco Bay.

The odd thing about this park is that it’s a series  of small hills – more like mounds – and they like to laugh that their fathers built this park. Back in the day, it was the city dump and both remember coming there as a kid with household trash to dump.

So as they stood on one of the mounds looking down at the salt flats, they saluted their fathers who labored hard around their homes…
