So, you try one way and then go another when hiking in the Sierras

d-and-the-mag-on-graniteThe Adventurers had earmarked a hike to Margaret Lake for their farewell to their late summer adventure to the Sierras. It sounded like an easy hike but it could be that the book that described it was a bit out of date.

The hiking trails themselves were not difficult, but there was water to cross that was very swift, particularly given that they were in September. They came to one of the crossings and, given that The Mag, if she were fall in, would be swept downstream quickly, abandoned that hike.

It was nevertheless a lovely two-mile jaunt.

They then headed to Kirkwood Lake, which is kind of  mini Pinecrest, and made their way around it, which provided The Mag with many dipping opportunities. Oh, how The Mag loves water!

They arrived home tired but satisfied with their September Sierra adventure…
