Keeping the outdoor art thing going, sort of, this time in San Francisco

The Adventurers combined two of their interests today when they journeyed up to San Francisco with The Mag to do a little hiking and a little art viewing.

They’d walked along the Coast Trail one or two times, depending on who you were asking. But this time did it in reverse. Before, they’ve parked at the area near the Sutro Baths and walked toward the Golden Gate.

Today, they parked at the Legion of Honor (where they were to see the Monet The Early Years exhibit) and walked down the hill before they picked up the Coastal Trail headed in the direction of Sutro Baths.

D then found a new to them trail along what was once the street Camino Del Mar. It’s a sort of street but now one not for cars, except at a parking are near the Legion of Honor and another near a memorial for the SS San Francisco, which they’d not seen before..

Once they’d circled back to the Legion of Honor, they took turns viewing the special exhibit on the early years of Monet. D may have appreciated it more than L. But they did agree on a number of their favorite paintings.

Meanwhile, Maggie was not enthused about any of Urs Fischerlsculptures in the Legion’s courtyard…
