After Labor Day jaunt up the coast – first stop Philo

The Adventurers headed up Highway 101 today for a planned jaunt up the California coast.

The stopped in Healdsburg and had a great lunch at Barndiva, a new-to-them-both place. Parked outside was an old Peugeot truck – very cool. They did a mile leg stretcher and checked out some of the shops (without really shopping).

There first destination was L’s much beloved Highland Ranch, now called Blackbird Farm, about the Anderson Valley town of Philo.

Alas, instead of a fully-stocked bar in the farmhouse, there were chickens. L doesn’t think George would approve (but probably fitting for a now educational institution)…
