Taking a walk while dodging raindrops

Raku kiln on campus - 1

The Adventurers and the Mag headed out around 11:30 this morning and were a half block away when the skies opened up. So rather than walking to lunch, they came back home.

But all was not lost and the skies cleared enough around 1:30 pm for them to head out again, this time for a walk across the Stanford campus. Maggie liked the puddles and they got wet without getting drenched.

Along the way they came upon a student who was setting up a Raku kiln. We stopped and chatted and he knew the famous physicist who is also a cermacist who lives down the street.

Just the think to do on a rainy afternoon, stoke a kiln with wood…
